Victor Richardson was born on July 20, 1927 In Chattanooga, Tennessee, to parents, V.E. and Amy Richardson.
and passed away at home in Sealy, TX on December 23, 2013 with his daughter and son in law by his side . Victor is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Beckham Richardson, who he married January 13, 1951 and they were blessed to spend over 50 yrs of marriage together. He is also preceded in death by daughter Joyce Ann Graham and grandson Edward Bernard Graham, Brother George Lochridge and Sister Amy Volgamore.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Vickie and Bruce L. Ross of Sealy Texas; grandson Bruce Edward Ross of Houston, granddaughter Tammie, her husband Cliff Allison of Spring, grand daughter Lisa and her husband Steve Harkhema of Dallas, Great Grandchildren Justin Ross, Zachary Ross, Madison Ross, Audrey Allison, Eli Allison, Victoria Gannon, Cody Gannon, Joyce Kay Graham, Sabrina Graham, Edward Graham and numerous nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Victor served in the US Navy from 1943 to1947 as a radio operator and a airplane mechanic. He visited several islands including Enewetak where he took care of a pet monkey. When he came home he attended The University of Houston and then transferred to Rice University to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer designing air tools for Dresser Industries and retired after 40 years.
The most important thing to Victor was always first and foremost his family. He loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved cheering them on at their baseball games, gymnastics classes and dance recitals. He also loved to travel, take his family out to dinner, Christmas shop and go play blackjack at the casinos. He always saw the good in any situation and never said an unkind word about anyone.
