Mary was known to her family as, Mimi. Mimi was always the type of woman that put her family first. She was an excellent cook, maintained an orderly home with three kids, and had a career too. Home and family was high on her priority list. She always adored music, playing cards, and doing cross-stitch. Bill and Mary had many friends who knew they could drop by to visit them any time without reservations and be warmly welcomed. She loved to dance with Bill and enjoyed being outdoors or traveling across the country. They looked forward to visiting with their many “snowbird” friends that would come join them in their RV location. Some of their favorite places were Goose Island in Rockport, Cloudcroft in New Mexico, Lake Greeson in Arkansas, and Branson, Missouri. She enjoyed taking many pictures of her family and friends. She also loved to write in her many journals about her daily activities. After Bill’s death in 2004, she moved from Rockport to Terrell to be closer to her children. She kept active, and traveled to Alaska in 2010 with her later companion, Herman. They both enjoyed each other’s company and Mary’s life was enhanced by their friendship. Her family could not have loved her any more than they did and will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Woods; son, William Joseph Woods; sister, Virginia Hastings; & brother, Norman Thompson.
Mary is survived by her son, Jim & wife Sheree Woods; daughter, Janice & husband John Enloe; grandchildren, Angela, Whitney, Kate, Perry, Shannon and Jon; 9 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
