Reno “Bart” Bradicich, son of Reno George and Claire Roques Bradicich, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 21, 1937. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and attended Central Catholic High School. Bart attended Texas A&M University in 1957-1958, served in the US Army from 1959-1963, and returned to his college studies at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, graduating with a BS in Science. In August of 1963, he married Patricia “Patsy” Elder after his third proposal, when she finally caved and waved the white flag of surrender. (His persistence paid off!)
Bart worked as a chemist with the US FDA from 1963-1997. He was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kaufman since 1968.
Bart passed away with many of his children and grandchildren at his bedside. He truly had a servant’s heart - his God, his wife, his children, and his grandchildren were his greatest love, pride, and joy. He is survived by his sister, Leibe M. Bradicich, his wife of almost 58 years, Patsy, and his children: Barton and Naomi Bradicich - Reno, Marjori and Daniel Lacamera, Baxter, Abby and Trey Williams, Aaron, and Renee; Mary and Mark Foreman - Alex and Tyler Davis, Katie and Austin McConnell - Cecilia and Evelyn; Mark Jr, Matthew, Laura, Luke, Hannah, Joseph, Sarah, and Beth; John and Caley Bradicich - Max and Lauren Bradicich – Thomas and James; Pio, Adelaide, Mary Claire, Peter, Zelie-Louise, Caroline, Lucy, Ben, Paul, Maisie, and Maimie; Kurt and Sheila Bradicich - Ashlynn and Micah David – Mila Kate; Kurtis, Hannah Rose, Leah, and Kyleigh; Eric and Dana Bradicich - Eric Jr, Kate, and Aden;
Mark and Judy Bradicich - Susanna, Lauren, Adam, and Christopher; Luke and Brandy Bradicich - Kelsey and Eric Trogden, Saylor, and Eden; Anna and Brian Ablowich - Paul Joseph, Peter, Emma, Eva, Ellie, Elena, and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Ellen Bradicich, and his grandchildren, Eliza Beatrice Marie and John C. Bradicich.
We give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the gift of this brother, husband, father, Gr’pa, and Great Gr’pa – and to all the many friends and family who have supported us during this time.
He will be truly missed.
