Sandra Jean Grubbs

Sandra Jean Grubbs, 78, was born on May 24, 1940 in Scurry Texas to Terrell and Dorothy Hale. She passed away on August 6, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.
She graduated from Kemp High School in 1958. She married Bobby Grubbs on September 18, 1959. Majority of career was spent in education. She retired from Crandall ISD in 1995. After retirement, she spent the 12 years working at Frog Street Press with her daughter and friends.
She played the piano for many years at FBC Crandall. Presently, she was involved with her Adult V Sunday School class at Central Baptist Church. She also enjoyed quilting, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending and watching their activities. Camping was always a favorite with the camping club as well as quilt retreats and her most recent sewing group providing quilts for the children’s shelter.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Terrell and Dorothy Hale and her husband Bobby D. Grubbs of 53 years.
Sandra is survived by her 2 daughters: Debra Wood and husband Tracy, Julie Johnson and husband Kevin, four grandchildren, Lauren and Ashton Wood and Matthew and Nathan Johnson. Brother Gary Hale and his wife Mary and a host of other family and friends.

Sandra Jean Grubbs was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Sandra will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Terrell and Dorothy Hale.
Sandra was blessed with two children, two daughters, Debra and Julie. Another blessing for Sandra was the gift of four grandchildren, Lauren, Ashton, Matthew, and Nathan.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Wood and husband Tracy, Julie Johnson and husband Kevin, four grandchildren, Lauren and Ashton Wood and Matthew and Nathan Johnson, brother, Gary Hale and wife Mary. Services were held at First Community Church in Crandall, Texas. Sandra was laid to rest in Crandall City Cemetery in Crandall, Texas.
Simply stated, Sandra was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Sandra leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Sandra Jean Grubbs.
