OBITUARY
Wesley Bryan Lexa
December 17, 2020 – April 5, 2021
Wesley Bryan Lexa was born Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Greenville, Texas. He was so excited to meet his parents, Matthew and Julia Lexa, that he came early, at just 29 weeks. He weighed every bit of one pound nine ounces and was twelve and a half inches long. From the very beginning, he lived up to the description “tiny but mighty.”
Breathing was something Wesley worked to do from the beginning. Something that should have come naturally was quite a job for this little warrior. What was amazing to watch, though, was how Wesley touched people. That was an effortless process. As he grew, Wesley’s influence did, too. His ministry online is still growing, having reached at least two thousand people.
In Wesley’s short life, he was a blessing to the doctors, nurses, and staff at three different hospitals. He touched countless lives, in countries all over the world. Wesley brought people back to God and he showed people who Jesus was. Through Wesley’s life, the world has changed.
Wesley Bryan Lexa went home on April 5, 2021. He fought the good fight and finished the race. And if he has taught the world anything, it is that we never know how long our life will be… But it doesn’t have to be long for God to use us. He left his mom and dad to tell his story, along with his great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, and cousins. Waiting to greet him were his Aunt Jenny and Uncle Thomas Holland, his cousin Cheyenne Ellerman, and his Great Aunt Diane Swindell.

Julia and Matthew, we have followed little Wesley's story each time you would post. We prayed for him and for you.
Perhaps Grand-Uncle Gordon will enjoy playing with Wesley in heaven. Really don't know what heaven will be like, but sure do believe in the promise!
Sending you love as you grieve.

I remember when i met Julia and Matthew and sweet Wesley, we were nicu neighbors. Wesley and Hudson are best friends, the ladies men, our sweet boys only had one baby in between them. The Lexa family gave me hope and faith when mine was being tested. I didnt understand how they could be so full of joy in this time. It reminded me to be joyful for everything God does. I remember going up to Wesleys bed when his parents were gone to sneak peeks at him and pray with him. I will never forget our dear sweet baby. We love you all so much. Rest in peace, the tiniest but mightiest angel i ever came to know. Its truly WAG now.

I checked on Wesley every day. I was a six-month baby and born in the early 50s at 2 pounds and 7 ounces. So many people were rooting for him, but God is in control. try to find peace that he is breathing and running and playing like all little boys do.

I fell in love with Wesley the minute I first heard about him, as if he were my own grandson. I am so thankful for the time his mom and dad got with him and what a ministry he had in his short time on this earth. I am joyful that he is in his heavenly body where he know no pain or suffering, and where he feels the love of Jesus every single moment.
I pray for mom and dad to find joy in their sorrow, and to continue knowing that it was all worth everything they have been through. Jesus loves you two also!

Wesley was part of my days, without knowing him or his parents, someone shared on Facebook the news that Wesley needed prayer and from the first moment my heart welcomed him, it was the first time I prayed with such passion for someone who I do not know, I cried a lot when I heard of his departure, I think feeling more for his parents, because I know for sure that our little Wesley is in a very special place without suffering, thank you Julia and Matthew for making us part of Wesley's story, that the Lord will make you the mother of many children and although you will never forget Wesley you will see him grow up on this earth in each of them, a big hug
