

Alan was born May 27, 1943, to Earl and Florence (Lewis) Lorandeau, at the former Elliot Hospital in Keene, NH. Raised and educated locally, Alan graduated from Keene High School. On February 14, 1976, Alan exchanged vows with Sania Bukowski at Saint Stanislaus Church in Winchester. Together, Alan and Sania would enjoy 50 years of marriage, until his passing.
Alan proudly served our country from November of 1967 to 1972, in the United States Army. While in the Army, Alan was stationed in Alaska, a time he remembered fondly. A mechanic by trade, Alan was employed by the Erving Paper Mill, and later Georgia Pacific, and then SCA until his retirement.
An avid deer hunter and fishermen, Alan deeply enjoyed the time he was able to spend in the outdoors, often hunting and fishing with his close friends, Alan processed and smoked the meat that he and others harvested. Alan also had a deep love for wildlife photography. Family being paramount to Alan, he coached his children in Soccer, Baseball, Softball, and was a Boy Scout Leader in Troop 507 in Winchester.
Alan will be deeply missed by his wife, Sania Lorandeau of Winchester; his three daughters, Patricia O’Connor and her husband Gary of Loudon, TN; Trisha Hopkins of Winchester, NH; Marsha and Jason Hamel of Winchester, NH; one son Alan J. “AJ” Lorandeau Jr. of Winchester, NH; eight grandchildren Joey and Diana Nicholas, of Santa Margarita, CA; Jessica Bryan and Jody Bryan, of Loudon, TN; Joshua Weatherwex, of Loudon, TN; Vivyin Hopkins, Ethan Hopkins of Winchester, NH; Kayden Kirker of Winchester, NH; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers John Lorandeau of Lempster, NH; and Pierson “Pete” Lorandeau of Wakeman, Ohio. Alan was predeceased by his parents, and one brother, Michael Lorandeau.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, April 16th at 10:00am in the Evergreen Cemetery, Forest Lake Road, Winchester, NH.
