Her parents, Richard H. and Patricia J. (Wirein) Zaluki, welcomed their daughter into the world on March 23, 1966 in Keene, NH. She grew up in Marlborough, NH attending local schools. With the closing of Marlborough High School, Amy transferred to Keene High School for her junior and senior year, graduating in the class of 1984.
Following graduation, Amy enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Lackland AFB in Texas, serving as a medical service specialist. She was honorably discharge in 1988. Amy was a member of the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association Chapter 5-4.
Amy attended the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, graduating in 1995 with a degree in nursing. She was employed as an Oncology Nurse, most recently at The Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, where she was always a breath of fresh air and a positive light to people, giving them her very best every day.
Her and her husband have called Antrim home since 1994 and have been prominent members of the community. She was an avid motorcycle rider; loved dancing; singing karaoke; and enjoyed doing “paint nights” pretending she was Picasso, but most of all she dedicated her life to her family.
Amy also achieved the level of third degree black belt in Ty Kwon Do and successfully participated in tournaments throughout New England and New York.
She will be greatly missed by many, especially her husband of 24 years, Douglas S. Stone; their four children, Tyson Englehardt, Elizabeth Griswold and her husband, Scott, Julianna Stone and her boyfriend, Alex Mellen, Leah Stone; her two grandchildren, Cadence and Eivin Griswold who fondly called her “Nummy”; her parents Richard and Patricia Zaluki; and four siblings Michael Zaluki, Barbara Giguere and her husband, Richard, Thomas Zaluki and his wife, Dawn, and Katrina Cross and her husband, David. She was also the proud aunt to many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law to Derek Stone and his wife, Linda, Brian Stone and his wife, Debbie, Claudette Niemela and her husband, Mark, Kevin Stone and his wife, Jeanne, Denise Mercure and her husband, Jeff, Michelle Walters and her husband, Robert, and Ranae Stone. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Buddy and Shirley Stone.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00PM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Burial with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 24 2019 at 1:00PM in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen. A celebration of Amy’s life will continue on Wednesday at 2:30PM in the Hillsborough (NH) American Legion Post 59, 538 West Main Street.
