

She was born in Keene, NH on September 2, 1929 the daughter of William E. and A. Frances (Carroll) Hetherman.
Ann grew up in Keene, attended St. Joseph Regional School and was a 1947 graduate of Keene High School. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Ann was a teacher and taught schools for the Connecticut Education System. She also served as a civilian teacher for the United States military in Germany. After returning to Keene in 1998, she was a volunteer in the library at St. Joseph Regional School.
She was a member of the Cheshire County Retired Teachers Association and was a communicant at St. Margaret Mary Church. She had traveled extensively throughout Europe. She enjoyed knitting, reading and rug hooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sons; Robert W. Johnson and his wife Christine of Spring, TX, Thaddeus A. Johnson and his wife Janet of Walpole, Mass., and Seth A. Johnson and his partner Kathy Pinkham of Shelton, CT; a daughter Heather J. Magliozzi and her husband James of West Newton, MA; a brother, William E. Hetherman, Jr and his wife Elizabeth of Keene, NH and a sister-in-law Lillian Hetherman; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of forty years, Robert C. Johnson, a brother John Hetherman and a niece Beth Hetherman.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church, 34 Arch Street, Keene, NH on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Center or to the Jimmy Fund. All contributions should be sent to PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, please designate Dana Farber or the Jimmy Fund.
