Arne and I shared a number of late evening calls as he would walked home from the office or as he would finish his many calls for the day. We would always talk about how the day went as it relates to work at first, but it would quickly turn to our military services somehow. I would always end the call with " my job is to keep you out of the news" to which he would always say " I know that and we have a great team" with a laugh. He was so proud of his service and the great memories of those times, but more so his pride of his family. Great boss, easy to talk with and friend to which we will surly miss. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Arne was an incredible friend, mentor, sounding board, and leader. I had the honor of working for, or with, Arne over the last 6 years. During this time we managed through good and bad times- snow storms, hurricanes, wild fires, building start ups / closures- and of course- a pandemic. He showed immense trust in his team which was inspiring and built an incredible bond. I admired the fact that every conversation we had, no matter how serious, began with discussion about life in general- our families, travels, love of good food and wine, or the incredible group of people we work with. Arne had a genuine passion for his family, friends, and colleagues.

During my travels to Keene, I would always look forward to having dinner with Arne. We would usually find ourselves at Fireworks. We would talk for hours, over a Manhattan or two or occasionally more. He was always focused on others- sharing how proud he was of Kaitlyn and Emily, asking about my family, asking about other team members whom he hadn’t been able to talk to in some time. They were always conversations where I walked away refreshed and excited to start the next day.

Arne is missed greatly. While he is no longer physically present, he will live on in all of us- through memories and instilled wisdom. I have learned a ton from Arne and I will forever be grateful of the time we had together.

In Memory,
Chris Tiefenthal

Arne and I shared memories of being in the service and he always talked about his family. He was excited about the property he had bought out in Colorado. He will be missed and I enjoyed the short amount of time I did spend with him.

I am so saddened by the loss of Arne. One of my memories of him was when we traveled to Jacksonville, FL for a business meeting. Arne rented the car and did the driving. We had gone through a number of traffic lights on the way back to the airport, and came upon a Stop sign. Arne pulled up to the sign, stopped, and waited, and we just sat there. After a bit, I asked him if he was waiting for the sign to turn green? He looked at me, laughed, and said yes he was. We both had a good laugh. My other memory of him and you Christelle, was seeing you both occasionally at Fireworks and having a short visit. My deepest sympathy and condolences to all of you.
