

He was born October 15, 1923, in Essex Center, VT, the son of Henri and Lucienne (Meilleur) Boutin. He was a 1941 graduate of Barton Academy and went on to attend Burlington Business College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. He proudly served our Nation as a member of the United States Army Air Corp and was stationed in Europe during World War II. He then stayed for an additional three years to work as a civilian for the Army of Occupation in Austria. Upon returning from his over-sea adventure, he met and married the love of his life, Lucille Beaudoin. They were married for 65 years.
He was a very devoted husband, father and “Grampy”. He loved being with his family, whether they were celebrating a birthday or holiday or simply being together for a family barbeque. He was a long time Office Manager for Wallier Chevrolet in Keene. Although he spent most of his life in Vermont and New Hampshire, his favorite place to visit was Wells, Maine. He enjoyed the ocean and watching sunsets with Lucille. In addition to Maine, he also traveled to many destinations: Colorado, Nova Scotia, Paris, Austria and many more. He had a great love of American history and was especially well read on the subject of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War.
He is survived by his wife: Lucille Boutin of Keene, two daughters: Michele Boutin and her husband Paul Doherty of Merrimack, NH and Suzanne Anderson and her husband Jim of Manchester, NH, three grandchildren: Steven Doherty, Jeffrey Doherty and his wife Bridgette and Kevin Anderson, his sister, Theresa Blanchette and her husband Tom of Winooski, VT, two sisters-in-law: Irene Beliveau and Lorraine Snydal and her husband Rod, his brother-in-law, Albert Beaudoin and his wife Ellen, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is predeceased by three brothers, Roland, Gerard and Emile Boutin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH, on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 11am to 12pm. Burial will be held at a later time in the NH Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, at the convenience of the family.
