Barbara A. Genovese Cramm

She was born on November 11, 1924 in Taunton, MA. Mrs. Cramm grew up in Taunton and was a 1943 graduate of Taunton High School.

After high school, Mrs. Cramm worked for the Gerlich Tanning Company in Taunton as a secretary. She also worked for the Railroad Company in Taunton as well.

On May 1, 1945, she married Dr. Vincent H. Genovese, a well known surgical podiatrist, in Gardner, MA. They had five children and were married until he died in 1976.

In 1976, Mrs. Cramm went to college and earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Fitchburg University. She received her Masters in Psychology from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA. She then went on to work as an advisor with the CETA (Comprehensive Employment and Training Act) program in Gardner.

On May 1, 1983, she married Chester Cramm in Gardner, MA.

Mrs. Cramm enjoyed a number of activities including golfing, traveling, reading and was an avid bridge player. In her later years, she enjoyed learning and using computer technology to keep in touch with her family and friends. She also enjoyed summering at Lake Monomonac in Rindge, NH.

Mrs. Cramm is survived by her sons Dr. Vincent P. Genovese of Greenville, KY, Dr. Alan D. Genovese of Warwick, MA, Dr. Paul A. Genovese of Glen Allen, CA and Dr. Richard E. Genovese of Rindge, NH; her daughter Laura M. Genovese, RN of Templeton, MA; eleven grand children, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Carl W. Johnson, Walter F. Johnson, Helen Hogan and Ruth Johnson.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church on 33 School Road, Troy, NH 03466. Services for Mrs. Cramm will be held there on Saturday, June 2, 2012, 10:00 AM.

A committal service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plymouth, MA at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Mrs. Barbara Genovese Cramm’s name to the Troy Ambulance Service, 14 Central Square, Troy, NH 03465 or to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446.
