I just leaned of Bernadette’s passing today. While I only knew her as one of her many Patients she always made me feel like a freind. I know she will be Missed by all. My deepest sympathy to her office co- workers, family and friends. Way to darn heartbreaking. :((

So shocked and saddened to read of Bernadette’s sudden passing. She was my audiologist for close to 30 years and a colleague at Cheshire Hospital, as well, years ago. Bernie was so kind and such fun! I always looked forward to seeing her for my hearing loss and hearing aid needs. She was a friend and I’ll miss her. My sincere condolences to John and all of Bernie’s family. I trust that Bernie is at home with our Lord and all those who have gone before her.

I have know Bernie for over 30 years and she was always wonderful to work with and treated me with respect. After leaving the Clinic and I became a patient she was a marvelous medical provider and helped me get my hearing aids financed. I have a lovely pair of earring that she bought for me on one of trips and I have always treasured them now that they will have even more meaning.

Bernie will be missed in so many ways in the local professional community of which she was such an important part. I called on her many times for information and collaboration over the years, and enjoyed her wonderful presence at our speech-language-hearing social meetings. Her participation on the NHSLHA board was also much appreciated. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Remember that many will continue to benefit from her wisdom as colleagues like me pass on what she taught us, to our future clients and patients. Thank you Bernadette. --Debbie Bennett, MS CCC Speech & Language Pathologist

I've known Bernie since late 80'S. Her sense of humor, direct style of communication and her deep love for her patients, made me one of her biggest fans.
I often called on her for advise and support . Her understanding of veterans and their individual needs was so valuable to her serving those that served our country.
She loved to laugh and what a laugh. I will miss her, but, I am so very fortunate, as are all her coworkers, patients and family, to have shared in her life .

My daughter, Cathy, has been a patient of hers, almost from the beginning of Bernadette's career. We saw her last on May 23. She was not excited about moving...we will miss her kind, friendly, expert attention.

Bernadette

Remembering her no-nonsense approach to dealing with patients and wondering if this was the way she walked thru life!

Always interested in what I had to say and what my issue was that day and you just knew she was interested in helping with that issue.

Bernadette's professional and caring, at the same time, approach to helping us with hearing issues will be sorely missed and I hope her family knows just how much she will be missed by this small community.

The only thing left to say is "Thank You"

I am shocked and so sad to hear of Bernie’s passing. I was a colleague of hers since she came to the Clinic in 1985. Bernie was one of the strongest advocate for all her patients that I ever worked with. Especially her elderly ones. I know she considered them family. I know how much they will miss her.
I will always remember her warm laugh and her sparkling eyes.
John, I remember when you started dating and watching as your love grew. You were so good for her.
And Sandy, to lose your best friend is unbearable. I am so sorry.
My sympathies to the entire family.
I will miss that special lady

I've known Bernie for decades as a colleague and wonderful, passionate, kind caregiver. So many times, I would call Bernie on behalf of my mom, when her hearing aids were broken or lost and Bernie always had a same day solution that would get my mom hearing again. I am absolutely shocked and saddened by her passing. A bright light of our community snuffed out too soon. Dale Pollack
