

He was born in Marlborough on August 3, 1938, the son of George L. and Irene M. (Wilcox) Morse. He graduated from Marlborough High School and has lived in Marlborough his whole life.
He married Joanne Brown on October 15, 1960 at St. Bernard’s Church.
Mr. Morse served in the US Army Reserves before being honorably discharged in 1964.
Earlier in his life, he worked for Minnewawa Labeling in Marlborough. He then went on to work for Markem Corporation for the next 38 plus years before retiring.
Mr. Morse played softball for Miner Lumber for many years and also enjoyed playing golf, camping and spending time with his family.
His family remembers him as being comedic, friendly, loyal, lovable, good natured, athletic and “stubborn”.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joanne B. Morse of Marlborough; his children Michael Morse, and wife Karen, of Spofford, Donna Croteau, and husband Mark, of Swanzey and Sharon Fish, and husband David, also of Swanzey; grandchildren James B. O’Brien, Karri O’Brien, Tiffany Howard, Tyler Croteau, Brittany Morse and Lacey Pelto; sister Karen Faulkner, and husband Robert, of NC; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His brother, Norman Morse, died earlier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Church on Friday, August 8th, 2014, 11:00 AM followed by burial at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Fletcher Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH. (www.fletcherfuneralhome.com)
