During the earlier years, she would walk to Chesterfield school from the cottage.
Betsey married her “Honey Bunny, Chick” on Sept 13, 1953. Together they built a farm, which was a big part of their life as she learned to be a farmer’s wife. She was widowed at a young age and never remarried.
Betsey worked as the Chesterfield Town Clerk for twenty years retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Chesterfield, where she was known for her rolls, as she would make dozens and dozens of them for the church suppers.
