Bev was born on April 29, 1926, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Warren G. and Alice Fisher. She graduated from Hillsboro High School where she was 2nd in her class (missing top honors by a fraction of a grade point) and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Arizona State University. She then earned her nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse at Cheshire Medical Center for many years.
She moved briefly to Manchester after college and then to Keene where she was introduced to Donald W. Fuller by her brother Warren. They were married on July 26, 1952 in Keene. She and Don toured the White Mountains on their honeymoon in Don's 1950 Studebaker which the family still owns. Bev enjoyed riding in the car very much. They had two sons Terry A. and Darren L. Fuller.
Bev liked to travel. She and Don toured the country by car, bus, train and plane. They visited Canada a few times and toured Great Britain once. She loved traveling with the whole family as well, vacationing on the seacoast, camping in Vermont and taking frequent road trips together.
She also had several other interests including her flower gardens and learning about birds. She also enjoyed doing cross-stitch.
Her family remembers her as a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She was warm, caring, loving and willing to sacrifice anything for her family. Her response to her various health issues over the years demonstrated her ongoing resilience and willingness to keep going. Her family also remembers how decades after her retirement from nursing, people would come up to her and thank her for her superb care during their hospitalizations.
Mrs. Fuller is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald W. Fuller of Swanzey; her sons Terry A. Fuller of Swanzey and Darren L. Fuller, also of Swanzey; a brother Vernon Fisher of Keene; and a sister Valerie Plante of FL; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fuller’s brother Warren Fisher Jr. and sister Avis Labarre both died earlier.
Services for Mrs. Fuller will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 2015, 11:00 AM at Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH 03431 (www.fletcherfuneralhome.com). A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family lot at Mountain View Cemetery, Rt. 32 in Swanzey, NH.
