

She was born in Keene on March 25, 1929, the daughter of Philip R. and Velma B. (Fuller) Flanders. She graduated from Keene High School in 1947 and has lived in the area for most of her life. She was a member of the National Honor Society.
Bev worked for several area businesses including Woolworth’s and MPB.
She attended Southern Florida Junior College in Avon Park, FL earning her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. She went on to work for medical facilities in Florida and at Westwood Care & Rehabilitation Center, Keene Center Genesis and Maplewood Nursing Home, as well as many private duty patients. Earlier in life she had also lived and worked in Apple Valley, CA , Massachusetts, and Cape Hatteras, NC.
After retirement, she volunteered with the Green Thumb Program at the Social Security Office, NH Department of Employment Security, and Giving Monadnock, all here in Keene.
In her younger years, she attended the Keene United Church of Christ, was involved with 4-H, Keene High School A Capella choir, and the Junior Red Cross. She was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow Girls, even serving as a Worthy Advisor.
Bev was an artist who practiced painting and ceramics. She also used her artistic skills for window dressings at F. W. Woolworth's. She enjoyed crocheting and various other crafts. She traveled some and enjoyed nature, especially when visiting seaside lighthouses. She enjoyed her cats, hummingbirds, and British mysteries both on film and in novels. She always enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children, grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews, when she shared her generosity and warmth.
Her family remembers her as loving, forgiving, one who “kept the home fires burning”, holding to her own Christian faith, gracious, sincere, charitable, and one who carried herself well. She was always willing and able to help by inspiring minds, healing bodies, and cheering hearts. She will be missed dearly and remembered fondly be all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons Frank Minott of Arizona, Jason Minott of Keene and Matthew Minott of Florida; her sister Marlene J. Fletcher of Keene; her grandsons Frank “Chip” Patterson, Todd Patterson, and Daryll Johnson; four great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Rosemarie Flanders of Keene; and several nieces and nephews,. Her brothers Philip Flanders and Ronald Flanders had both passed away previously.
Calling hours for Beverly will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St. Keene, NH. A spring graveside service will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Swanzey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mrs. Minott’s name to Home Health Care Hospice & Community Services, 312 Marlboro St., Keene, NH 03431 or the charity of one’s choice.
