Brenda Lee Hope

Her parents, Marion (Cushing) and Wiliam Yoeger, Jr., welcomed their daughter into the world on March 1, 1960, in Keene, NH. Brenda was a 1978 graduate of Keene High School.

She was never in doubt of the person she was. She gave all of herself and love freely to her family and friends without reservation. She was a caring person who was always there for anyone who was less fortunate.

Brenda’s work career centered around caring for others, first as a customer service representative with Clark Insurance Company in Keene, and later as a medical assistant at the Keene Clinic, a role she enjoyed for 24 years.

Brenda was a hard-working and caring person with a huge heart and was giving to so many family members and friends that she was blessed to know. She loved the ocean, and she loved kayaking many NH lakes with her loving husband. However, her favorite pastime was that of creating many wonderful and priceless memories with her family and being a “Nana.”

She will be greatly missed by many, especially her husband and soul mate of 30 years, William R. “Bill” Hope Sr., of Keene; her children, William R. Hope Jr. and his wife Carla of Keene, Shawn Patricia Prince and her husband Clever of Raleigh, NC, Lisa Ellis and her husband Shane of Roxbury, NH, Elisha Riley of Keene; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Naylor and her husband Rick of Swanzey, NH; and brothers William Stinson and his wife Gail of Troy, NH, and Dennis Stinson and his wife Laura of Wilmington, MA, and her mother Marion Cushing. She is preceded by her father William Yoeger in 1983, her daughter Andrea Hope in 2015, her brother Donald Stinson in 2018, and her son Matthew Riley in 2021.

A mass Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11am in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene. Burial with committal prayers will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Lower Main St. Keene. A celebration of life to follow at the Keene Elks Club on Roxbury St. at 1pm.
