Carolyn E. Lange

She was born in Gorham, NH, July 26, 1936, the daughter of Richard N. and Hattie (Anderson) Mills. She grew up in Gorham, graduating from Gorham High School.

Mrs. Lange moved to Keene in 1959 where she resided for twenty years, moving to Swanzey in 1981.

She worked in several downtown Keene retail stores as well as enjoying her role as a homemaker. She later worked as the hostess at the former Valley Green Restaurant in Keene where she met her husband of ten years, Ernest O. Lange. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Lange worked in food services at Keene State College.

She enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid bird watcher.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Gebhardt and his wife, Doreen, of Keene, Eric Gebhardt and his wife, Dayna, of Winchester, NH; four grandchildren, Richard Gebhardt, Jr. of North Charleston, SC, Nicholas Gebhardt of Marlborough, NH, Staci Gebhardt of Reading, VT, Melissa Gebhardt of Rockingham, VT, and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ernest O. Lange, died November 9, 1989.

Funeral services and burial in the Mountain View Cemetery, Swanzey, will be private. There are no public calling hours.
