She was born in Keene, NH, May 15, 1946, one of eleven children of Leon and Elizabeth (Hooper) Willette. She grew up in Winchester, NH, attending local schools.
Mrs. Jackson resided in Keene for 37 years before moving to Sullivan 16 years ago.
She enjoyed her responsibilities as a homemaker and caring for her family. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting; fishing and hunting. She loved taking “road trips”.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James E. Jackson, Sr. of Sullivan; her children, James E. Jackson, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Florida, Debbie M. Stetson of Texas, Annette M. Naeck and her husband, Steven, of Swanzey, NH, Mark E. Jackson and his girlfriend, Joanne Jackson, of Sullivan, Leslie E. Jackson and his girlfriend, Cheryl Labadie, of Sullivan, Leif E. Jackson, and his girlfriend, Shauna Hagstrom, of Jaffrey, NH; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Willette, of Hinsdale, NH; three sisters, Nancy Auffinger of Glens Falls, NY, Gerry Dupray of Athol, MA, Christine Smith, of Wilmington, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Jackson, in October 2011.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 1:00PM in the Sullivan Center Cemetery, Centre Street, Sullivan. Rev. Phyllis Evelyn, Pastor of the United Congregational Church of Sullivan, will officiate. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
