He was born January 21, 1957 in Keene, NH the son of Robert S. Pierce and Viola (Kenney) Long. For many years he worked for MPB in Keene.
David enjoyed being surrounded by nature: hunting, fishing and working outdoors were some of his greatest passions. Family cook-outs, during the summer and around the Holidays were also a special time for him and he loved the chance to get his whole family together. He also enjoyed watching sporting events like races at Monadnock Speedway and the NH Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH and following the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his daughter, Candy Clough and her husband Russell of Keene; his son, Andy Pierce of Woonsocket, RI; his mother, Viola Long; his step-mother, Marion Pierce; stepchildren, Joe, Kevin, Jeff and Brenda; four grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Josh and Gene; brothers Robert Pierce and Jamie Pierce and his wife, Shannon; sister, Donna Poges and several nieces, nephews and extended members. He is also survived by his loving companion, Peggy Pike of Swanzey. David is predeceased by his father, Robert S. Pierce; his wife, Arlayne Pierce; his brother, Neil and his sister, Sally.
David will be remembered in a Graveside Service in the Woodland Cemetery, Northeast Division, Beaver St. Keene, NH., on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10am. There will be no public calling hours.
