I miss the early morning conversations with Dawn, often at 4 a.m. Dawn was a gifted woman in the arts. She had an uncanny ability to connect with animals as well. I think of the times we spent painting and sewing over the years and the smiles that brought us. Dawn had always stood up for the underdog, befriending those who were often shunned by society. The death of her son Stephen in 2017 was devastating to her, yet knowing she is with him now is comforting. I dearly miss her and wish her many blessings on her new journey.

Dawn had so many natural talents...she was a gifted artist and painted murals in people's homes as well as public places. Without any formal training her artistic talent rivaled that of serious artists. Her natural ability for music was just as amazing. She was the only individual I know who could sit down and play Bach on the organ. Dawn also had a tremendous affinity with animals, particularly horses. She spent a good part of her young adult life working with thoroughbreds and even those horses that were known to be "difficult" found through Daws's hands a reason to trust. She was simply amazing in her ability to communicate with animals. Her beloved Warpaint was a constant companion for many years; a horse that only responded to her...I miss her as a sister and wish her peace and tranquility. I hope she completed in this journey all that she needed to.
