

Debra J. “Debbie” White 51, of Fox Run Road, East Swanzey, NH, died suddenly, Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH. Just prior to her death, she was camping with her family, a pastime she cherished doing.
She was born in Claremont, NH, February 2, 1960, the daughter of Leonard H. and Margaret J. (Scanlon) Cayea. She spent her early years in Newport, NH before moving to Marlborough, NH in her junior year of high school. She was a 1979 graduate of Marlborough High School.
Mrs. White was a resident of East Swanzey for the past 30 years. At the time of her death, she worked for the past 27 years with Smith Medical in Keene as a customer service supervisor. She loved the outdoors, especially sitting on her deck at home, and camping. She enjoyed canning the vegetables she grew in her garden and was known to “love a good rare steak”. Spending time with family and friends were the most important thing to her, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was an all-around fun person, taking care of, and nurturing others, putting others first before herself. When her family was asked for a single word which would describe Mrs. White, their response was “vibrant”.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ty O. White of East Swanzey, a son, Michael C. White and his wife Jaime of Keene, NH, a daughter, Shayna M. Pelkey and her husband Joseph of Troy, NH, six grandchildren; AutumnRose White, Austen White, Gage White, Brock White, Lila Pelkey and Mason Pelkey, and her mother, Margaret J. Patten of Fitzwilliam, NH. She is also survived by three sisters; Kim A. Cayea of Fitzwilliam, Lori Hovren and her husband Eric of Redlands, CA, Robin Tambouris and her husband Armand of Redlands, her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law; Kevin White and his wife Peggy of New York, Kit White and his wife Beth of Georgia, Cindy Davis and her husband Bob of Westmoreland, NH, Zane White and his wife Diane of Westmoreland, and nieces and nephews; Bailey Cayea, Hanna Hovren, Jenna Hovren, Aiden Hovren, Destiny Tambouris, Ashley Tambouris, Jason White, Erik White, Kira White, Ben Davis, Heather Davis, Rose Davis, Courtney White, and Griffin White. Her natural father, Leonard H. Cayea died in 1979, and her dad, Barry Patten died in 2005.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Federated Church of Marlborough, 16 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, NH. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Granite Street, Marlborough. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. White’s memory to the American Heart Association, Northeast affiliate, Two Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
