

She was born on Knights Farm in Langdon, NH, November 6, 1922, the daughter of Charles H. and Virginia E. (Livermore) Bushway.
She resided in Bellows Falls, VT for a brief period of time. For 65 years, she resided in the Laconia State School. In 1988 she moved to her home on Gilsum Street.
Miss Bushway enjoyed the simple pleasures such as music, art, gatherings with friends, good food and “road trips”. She took great pleasure in attending the Wednesday night concerts on the Square in Keene, productions at the Redfern Art Center, activities at Life Art, and monthly dances at the Recreation Center. She was also a member of the Starlight choir, From the Heart Studio, and the Garden Drummers.
She was a resilient, brave, loving, and happy individual. She touched many lives, was a friend, a mentor and a hero. She brought much love and joy to the lives of those that knew her.
She is survived by her home provider and friend, Tina Wood; and her many friends from Residential Resources, CHESCO, and Monadnock Developmental Services including her close friends and caregivers, Barbara Wilson, Brian Bishoff, Jackie Wolmer, Chris McDermitt, Darcy Johnson and Joan Moura. She was predeceased by her siblings, Virginia Delima, Conradine “Connie” Josephine, Pauline, and Charles Virgil Bushway; and longtime friends, Vivian Stedman, Louise M. Bolio and Dorothy E. Cook.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Rev. Nancy Wood will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Fitzwilliam.
