
Eileen G. (Riley) Hackett, 95, a resident of Keene, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Genesis – Keene Center, with her granddaughter, Deborah Cormier-Hackett at her side.
She was born March 16, 1917, in Derry, New Hampshire, the daughter of Charles Matthew and Mabel (Payne) Riley. She was a 1935 graduate of Pinkerton Academy, in Derry, NH.
Eileen loved being with her family and doing special things with them. The Holidays were always a special time and she enjoyed having the family together to celebrate. She also loved working in her flower garden.
She is survived by her son: Lawrence Hackett and his wife Dorothy of East Waterboro, ME., five grandchildren: Scott Hackett of ME., Bruce Hackett of ME., Deborah Cormier-Hackett of Surry, NH., Lisa Sterns of Troy, NH and Stacey Talbot of Westmoreland, NH., sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband: Lawrence A. Hackett, her daughter: Judith Clark-Murphy, and her sister: Rita Jordan.
Funeral Services will be held at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10am. Burial will follow in the New Acworth Cemetery in Acworth, NH. Family and friends are invited to call on the family Friday, August 17, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm.
