

She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on Dec. 27, 1946, the daughter of John L. and Elizabeth (Marden) Hyde. She grew up in Concord, NH, where she graduated from Concord High School in 1964. She earned an A.A. degree from Colby Junior College, a B.A. from Elmira College, and an M.A. in Psychology from Antioch University – New England.
She joined Monadnock Family Services in 1988 as a psychotherapist, and served the community in that capacity for almost 25 years. She was an MLADAC – Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, and helped many, many people along the road to recovery during her long career.
Her greatest love was her family. She married Henry B. Malone in 1970, and children Peter and Karen were born in 1977 and 1981 respectively. She loved the time 11:11 because the numbers represented the four members of her family.
Survivors include husband Henry Malone of the home, son Peter Malone of Keene, daughter Karen Malone of Denver, CO, father John L. Hyde of North Woodstock, NH, sisters Sara Eidenbach and husband Peter Eidenbach of High Rolls, NM, Elisabeth Hyde and husband Pierre Schlag of Boulder, CO, Suzanne Winn of Dalton, NH, and six nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mrs. Malone’s life will be held at a future date to be announced.
The Foley Funeral Home of Keene, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
