Ellen A. Kingsbury

Ellen Alice Kingsbury, 80, formerly of Keene, died on November 28, 2011 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland after a lengthy illness.

Born in Keene on June 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. & Vera E. (Twitchell) Kingsbury. Ellen graduated from Keene High School in 1950.

She was a telephone operator at AT&T for over 30 years and for many years operated Flea Markets in New England.

Ellen was a supporter of the Keene Historical Society. She will be remembered as an avid reader and for her affection for the many cats she owned.

She lovingly took care of her mother in their home for many years.

Ellen leaves two brothers, Edward A. Kingsbury and his wife M. Kathleen, of Keene, NH and Marco Island, FL, and Charles O. Kingsbury & his wife Kathryn of Paxton, MA. She was a loving aunt to her seven nieces and nephews. She also leaves fifteen great and three great, great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being provided by Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Keene. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
