He was born in Keene, NH, February 24, 1926, the son of Theodore H. and Clara (Gervais) Bergeron. He grew up in Keene and was a 1945 graduate of Keene High School.
Mr. Bergeron was a corporal serving in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Moving to Spofford in 1974, Mr. Bergeron built the home he resided in. A self-employed real estate broker, Mr. Bergeron worked in real estate for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and hiking. He received many awards from the Biggest Bucks Maine Club for his hunting skills. He also was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Pine Grove Spring Country Club in Spofford,
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 799 of Keene and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 927.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marguarete (Lau) Bergeron of Spofford; a son, Brian Bergeron and a daughter, Ann Bergeron, both of Keene; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Theodore Bergeron and his wife, Beverly, of Keene; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Bruce Bergeron; three brothers, Ernest Bergeron, Edward Bergeron, Clarence Bergeron; six sisters, Dorothy Westcott, Rose Arseneault, Rita Osgood, Alice Sturtevant, Minerva Phillipson and Yvonne Scobi.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene. Family and friends are welcome. There are no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Bergeron’s memory to the Castle Center, 312 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH 03431, or to a charity of one’s choice.
