

He was born on November 13, 1949 in Keene to the late Ernest F. Wood, Sr. and June Hazel (Parker) Dear. He attended area schools and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School.
Ernie was the proud owner of Yankee Fryer Restaurant and also worked at A.C. Lawrence Leather Company in Winchester. Prior to retirement he worked for MoldPro, Inc. in Swanzey.
Everyone enjoyed being in the company of Ernie. He had a kind and loving spirit who would do anything for anyone in need. He hosted many bonfire parties at his home in Winchester. He was famous for always catching the special moments in life on film. He treasured time with family, especially trips to Hampton Beach.
Ernie will be dearly missed by his siblings: Judy Wheeler of Keene, NH, Nancy Harris of Florida, Cheryl Greeley of Dublin, NH, Jimmy Dear of California, and Glenn Dear of Keene, NH; nephew: Frank Wheeler and his wife Lisa of Winchester; niece: Lisa Montgomery of Winchester, NH; as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-parents: Ralph Dear and Ethel "Dolly" Wood; siblings: Melinda Dear and John Dear; brother-in-law: Myron Wheeler; and nephew: Rodney Wheeler.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Winchester, NH.
