Esther Mabel White Lent

Esther was born, in Saxtons River, VT on May 2, 1924. The daughter of Eugene and Lois (Parker) White, she was one of 14 children. The family relocated to the Keene area where she attended Keene High School.

She worked at Miniature Precision Ballbearing (TIMKEN/MPB) in Keene for many years before going to work at as a waitress. She subsequently worked at the National Grange Insurance Company, the area NH State Liquor Store and a local convenience store. Not one to sit still, she was always busy and continued to work until well into her late 70s. In her limited leisure time, she enjoyed her grandchildren and was an avid reader.

Esther is survived by her four children: David Frost and his wife Eunice of Fairhaven, VT, Patricia Condon and her husband James of Scottsboro, AL, John Lazzaro of Walpole, NH and Maria Lazzaro of Brooklyn, NY and her partner Howard Fields of Bergenfield, NJ; her 10 grandchildren: Faith Salyer, Scott Frost, Shane Frost, Joshua Frost, Krista Miller, Andre Condon, Jonathon Condon, Lisette Swartz, Sam Lazzaro and Clinton Mobley; and a sister: Maxine Rogers of Holyoke, MA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; with a special mention of her niece Judy White of Winchester, NH and her daughters Stephanie White of Swanzey, NH and Sharon Ferland of N. Hartland, VT. She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin S. Lent in 1994.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:30 at the Mountain View Cemetery, Old Homestead Highway / Route 32, Swanzey, NH.
