She was born in Columbus, OH on September 12, 1956. She attended area schools before relocating to Surry where she had spent most of her adult life.
On September 25, 2000, Franny exchanged vows with James “Jim” Dunton.
Franny had been employed by Cheshire Medical Center as an Aide. She enjoyed her duties and relationships she formed with patients and her coworkers. She shined at her job due to her kind and caring nature and willingness to help anyone in need.
Tending to her flower and vegetable gardens was one of Franny’s favorite activities. She found simple pleasure in the companionship her cats and bird brought her. Together, she and her husband Jim, enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino and riding motorcycles – often participating in cancer rides. Franny will be fondly remembered for her funny personality and intelligence.
Franny will be dearly missed by her husband: Jim Dunton of Surry; sons: Luke Willette of New York and Jessie Willette of Winchester; step-daughters: Kathleen Croteau of Keene and Kim Tatro and her significant other Mark Attardo of Exeter; granddaughters: Larissa and Desi; brother: Mike Mingus of Ohio; sister: Becky Mingus of Ohio; and daughter-in-law: Amy Moore of Vermont.
A celebration of Franny’s life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Francine Dunton’s name to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive #110, Bedford, NH 03110 (www.Cancer.org).
