Gary M Beauchesne

Gary M. Beauchesne, 65, of Langdon, died unexpectedly, Sunday morning at the Cheshire Medical Center – Dartmouth Hitchcock/Keene.

He was born in Turners Falls, MA., May 10, 1946, the son of Alfred and Melania (Szapowal ) Beauchesne. He grew up in the Turners Falls and Greenfield area, and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served 8 years during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Beauchesne married Jane Ross on August 20, 1968. Following an Honorable Discharge, Mr. Beauchesne worked for Howard Johnsons Restaurants on Cape Cod as their District Manager. The family later moved to Arizona for a brief period then back to New England where he worked for C& S Wholesale Grocers, he also operated a pallet repair business as well as many other businesses and restaurants. Most recently he worked in the kitchen at Prospect Place in Keene. Although he was a professed work-a-holic, he loved to cook and enjoyed large gatherings where he could see everyone enjoying the food and company of those present.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Jane Beauchesne of Langdon; his children: Michael Beauchesne and his wife Georgette of Orlando, FL., Mark Beauchesne of Keene, Nichole Lund and her husband Mark of Springfield, VT., and Matthew Beauchesne of Malden, MA., and eight grandchildren: Courtney Beauchesne of Charlestown, Ryan Beauchesne of Orlando, FL., Ashley, Tyler and Travis Beauchesne of Keene, and Taylor, Morgan and Alex Lund of Springfield, VT.

Calling hours and Services will be private at the request of the family.
