Gayle A. Buchanan

September 24, 1952March 20, 2020

Gayle A. Buchanan, 67, of Keene, passed away with grace on Friday, March 20, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones, at the Cheshire Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer. On September 24, 1952, her parents, Kenneth and Jane (Rocheleau) Rideout welcomed Gayle into the world, their first of three daughters. She grew up in Keene, and was a 1970 graduate of Keene High School. She went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University, and became a talented sales representative for multiple technology companies across many years in New Hampshire and Connecticut. After raising her children in Connecticut, Gayle returned back to her roots in Keene, and for over a decade, was an Administrative Assistant for the County Attorney’s Office, Cheshire County Government, with her retirement just weeks away. Her love of life, and unforgettable laugh, has always filled our hearts, and will be fondly remembered. Gayle, also affectionately known as “Auntie G”, is forever loved and honored, by her daughter, Kelly Neault and her fiancé, Anwar; her son, Matthew Neault and his wife Leah; her mother, Jane Rideout; her sisters, Kendra Hanlon and her husband Brian, and Rebecca Morgan and her husband Daniel, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her father. A liturgy of the word will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00am in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call on the family on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00am in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be private.

My deepest condolences to Gayles big family on her passing. In the 1970's & 80's, Gayle and I were the Disco Girls, and loved dancing at the many venues in greater Nashua. Lots of us in computer tech
(& friends) worked hard and played harder: we, a group of 7-9 women were no exception. Gayles easy smile and spunk prodded us to laughter and fun. Her two children were her pride and she bragged constantly about them.
We hope she's still running the dance hall for us in Heaven, as we're looking forward to giggling again, together.
Heartfelt prayers to her family for peace.

To all of Gayle’s Family, I was so saddened to learn of Gayle’s passing. Gayle was in my wedding, and I her’s. After years of losing touch, I was finally able to locate her last year. I remember Kelly and Mathew as babies! I remember her as a spit fire and so much fun. We met in college and remained close for many years before we lost touch. You are all in my thoughts. Sincerely,
Cathy Pratt

As the Mother of Gayle, I can only tell everyone she was the pride and joy of her father, Ken, and myself for the time we had together. My heart is sadden now that I will not laugh and cry with her, but knowing she is in the loving arms of our Lord , I will continue to pray for her every day until we meet again.

Kelly and Matt,
Your mom was truly one of the best gifts ever given to me. The day I met her at work we became inseparable. She was funny, she was kind, she was non-judgmental, and she loved you two kids more than anything in this world. We had so much fun together whether it be our monthly casino trips, or weekly drinks and dinner at our favorite restaurant. I can't express how much I will miss her, as I have such a strong void in my life now. I take comfort knowing she is not suffering and she is at peace watching over all of us. Your mom was truly "THE BEST" and she will be forever in my heart. Love and prayers to everyone in the family, Wendy

That was written beautifully and describes Gayle exactly. We were friends for many many years. Gayle was one of the most loving and thoughtful people I knew. She was always smiling.... always! Her laugh was so unique and absolutely contagious. I would tell her all the time how much I envied her posture as she would sit with perfect grace. I will miss our phone calls and annual visit. This world lost a beautiful person on the 20th. My heart goes out to Kelly, Matt and the family.
