
He was born May 4, 1922, to the late Marion Drullard Peters and George Laurence Peters. He was pre deceased by his wife of 58 years, June Simpson Peters who passed away in 2007. Mr. Peters had lived in Greenwich from 1947-2009.
He was a graduate of the Choate School, class of 1941, and was part of the class 1944W at Columbia University. Serving in the Army from 1943 to 1946, he was part of the assault on Leyte and also later in Okinawa.
Mr. Peters was President of his family's business, Peters Brothers Coating & Laminating Company in Brooklyn, NY from 1947 - 1971. After selling the business, he because a realtor in Greenwich in 1975 as well as being a residential appraiser and instructor on faculty at the Norwalk Community College from 1985 - 2005.
A long standing volunteer, he served a term as President of the Round Hill Fire Company. He had also served as President of the Greenwich Historical Society in 1986. He belonged for many years to the Belle Haven Club and was a life member of the Campfire Club of America in Chappaqua, NY.
He is survived by his two children: Susan Drullard Peters and Clifford Simpson Peters (wife Wilhelmina), his two grandchildren, Pilar Peters Abuin (husband Angel) and Victoria Peters Moore (husband Patrick), his two great grandchildren, Javier and Madeline Abuin, and his cousin, Marguerite Craig Stevens.
There are no public calling hours or services. Burial will be private.
