

She was born in Eastport, Maine, on February 2, 1929, the daughter of Joseph E. and Margaret E. (Peel) Johnson. She grew up in and attended school in Eastport, and later worked for the local JJ Newbury’s.
She moved to the Keene area in 1948 and married Francis T. Scadova, on July 17, 1948.
She worked for Concord Labs in Keene, now SMITHS Medical, for 14 years before her retirement.
She enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Monadnock Squares for many years. She also loved to dress up, where ever she went.
She was, above all else, a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her children, and their children.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Francis T. Scadova of Swanzey; her children: Thomas Scadova and his wife Donna of Merrimack, Robert Scadova of Manchester, Arnold Scadova of Keene, Joyce Painchaud and her husband David of Swanzey, Glenn Scadova and his wife Bella Donna of Scottsdale, AZ and Gary Scadova and his wife Xinlin of Seattle, WA.; her sisters: Ruth McCarthy of St. Could, FL, Joyce Matthews of Calais, ME and Ina Lank of Colchester, CT.; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son William Scadova and her sisters: Maxine Seeley, Patricia Rier and Jane Schantz.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Fletcher Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday morning, May 7, 2016, at 10:00 am at the Fletcher Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in the Mountain View Cemetery in Swanzey.
