She was born August 4, 1933 in Hanover, NH, the daughter of Valma (Call) and Glenn Miller. Gwen attended Keene High School, and played the trumpet in the Keene Drum & Bugle Corp. Throughout her life she spent time residing in Derry, Windham, Swanzey, and Keene. She was a resident at Genesis Center in Keene for the past four years. She loved participating in a lot of activities there, and she ran the snack shack, selling baked goods and candy every Friday. Genesis had become her extended family.
In 1971 she met the love of her life, Donald N. Frazier. They were married and blended their families together, sharing many wonderful years together before his death in 1990.
Gwen was employed by MPB (Timken) as a machinist for 18 years. She had also worked as a cashier at Wilburs Supermarket in Swanzey, and at Brookside in Derry.
Nothing was more important to Gwen than her family. She cherished visits with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved her fish tank, and her elephant collection. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and was an avid Bingo player. You could bet that if the Red Sox or Patriots were playing, Gwen was watching the game, cheering her team on.
Gwen will be dearly missed by her children: Sharlene Fontaine and her husband Daniel of Londonderry, Janet Lord and her husband Charley of Titusville, FL, Valerie Sprague and her husband Ken of Sullivan, Jodie Gonzalez and her husband Marlon of Swanzey, Michael Kezer of Manchester, Ronald Kezer of Derry, and Eric Kezer and his wife Michelle of Manchester; stepchildren: Diana Rizan and her husband Steven of Sandown, Nancy Day of Sandown, Carol Chase and her husband Scott of Swanville Maine, and Donald Frazier and his wife Pat McLaughlin of Raymond; 27 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and extended family members.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Donald N. Frazier, her grandson Matthew C. Kezer, and siblings Norene Bailey, Marion Cummings, Lillian Hyman, Bradley Miller, and Sumner Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Life Journey Church, 570 Park Ave, Keene, NH on February 18, 2017 at 4:30pm. A private burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Swanzey this coming summer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gwendlyn E. Frazier’s name to David’s House at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, 461 Mt. Support Road, Lebanon, NH 03766 (www.davids-house.org).
