Harry J. Price Sr.

He was born in Keene, NH, October 13, 1931, the son of Harry G. and Mildred (Bradbury) Price.

Mr. Price worked in woodworking with the former Dalecraft, Economy Plumbing and Heating, Frazier and Sons Furniture, and Walston Woodcraft. He also served in the Army National Guard.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing softball in the Greater Keene Area Men’s Softball League. He was also an avid cribbage player. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriots. He will be remembered by many as a hardworking, honest, kind-hearted, selfless man who would always put the needs of others before thinking of himself.

He is survived by four children, Sandy Price and her husband, George Lowell, of Inverness, FL, Harry J. Price, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Marlborough, NH, Cindy Price of Alstead, NH, Mindy Fryman and her husband, Jeff, of Leesburg, OH; four grandchildren, Melissa Lemnah and her husband, Andy, of Westmoreland, NH, Karri Runk of Leesburg, OH, Michael Price and his wife, Allison, of Hollis Center, ME, Danny Dailey of Leesburg, OH; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Verna I. (Mathews) Price in 1990; a brother, Roger Price; and a sister, Eleanor Johnson.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 23, 2015 at 1:00PM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Susan Simonds, Celebrant, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Granite Street, Marlborough. Family and friends are invited to call at the Foley Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 to 1:00PM.
