

She was born Astoria, NY on September 7, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (O’Malley) Rezek. She grew up in Astoria and was a 1952 graduate of the Dominican Commercial School in Astoria.
A resident of Keene since 1956, Mrs. Baker worked for over 15 years as an administrative assistant in the guidance office at Keene High School.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Keene and a member of St. Anne Sodality.
She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, visiting many places, including Hawaii, Texas, California and Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her water exercise group, “The Flamingo Group”. However, her favorite pastime was the special memories she created with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert L. Baker, Sr. of Keene, her eight children, Robert L. Baker, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Keene, Karen McCarthy and her husband, Michael, of Keene, Laura French and her husband, Ralph, of Keene, Diane Seavey and her husband, Rick, of Antrim, NH, Linda Smith and her husband, Jody, of Alstead, NH, Michael Baker of Houston, TX, Kelley Smith and her husband, Ron, of Jaffrey, NH, Matthew Baker and his wife, Tammy, of The Woodland, TX; seventeen grandchildren, Jennifer Leborious and her husband, Devon, Robert L. Baker, III, Austin Baker, Ethan Baker, Ricky Seavey and his significant other, Wanda, Ashley Smith and her significant other, Bradley, Joseph Smith and his significant other, Ami, Michelle Baker, Bryant Baker, Murphy Baker, Tanner Baker, Jason Smith, Emily Smith, Michela McCarthy, Dillon McCarthy, Benjamin McCarthy, Jason McCarthy; five great-grandchildren, Jackson Seavey, Joseph Smith, Brantley Smith, Zelda Seavey, Lyla Murphy; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Peets and her husband, Floyd, of Belton, SC; one niece and one nephew. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Raquel Baker and Steven Smith; and a brother, Charles Rezek.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:00AM in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
