She was born in Enfield, NH, July 31, 1925, daughter of the late James and Elsie (Wallace) Stewart. She graduated from Enfield, NH high school in 1943 and shortly thereafter moved to Keene.
On November 27, 1948 she married Walter M. Davis. They were married for 54 years prior to his death on July 11, 2003.
She is survived by her son: Gary W. Davis and his wife Deborah of Swanzey; daughter: Gail D. Davis of Swanzey; two grandsons: Gregg M. Davis of Keene and Geoff S. Davis and his fiancé Melissa Kress of Swanzey; and great-grandchildren: Alyvia Davis, Jackson Davis, Allison Kress, and Devin Henderson. She is also survived by sisters: Mary Munn of West Lebanon, NH and Elsie Belden of Keene.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers: James W. Stewart, Reginald Stewart, Rankin A. Stewart, and Robert Stewart; as well as sister: Muriel Stewart.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Private burial services will be held in the spring at Mountain View Cemetery in Swanzey, NH.
