

She was born June 25, 1949 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Harold Edwin and Priscilla Carmen (Dussault) Thiele. She was a 1967 graduate of Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, TX and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s Degree from Keene State College. She worked for many years at the Toadstool Bookstore, and she was a joyous student of Prem Rawat for many years and was a frequent participant and volunteer at his events in the United States and around the world.
She was also very active with the Keene Senior Center and was a member of the “Senior Swingers”, a local singing group as well as a creative writing group.
Travel was one of her passions and she had been to various locations across the United States and other countries. She had a very compassionate spirit and was very kind-hearted: she was a person of her word and had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the world, and she would always put the needs of others before her own. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed photography and was gifted at cross-stitch, knitting and quilting.
She is survived by her son: John Thiele and his wife Linda of Stony Brook, New York, her daughter: Katie Thiele of New York, New York, five grandchildren: Jack, Andrew, Daniel, Joshua and Matthew, her sister: Kim Thiele of Boston, two brothers: Harold Thiele of Georgia and Warren Thiele of Texas and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 2 to 4pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH, all are welcome.
