Her parents, Mildred J. (Boucher) and Emile V. Rocheleau Sr. welcomed their daughter into the world on April 27, 1932. Jane grew up in Troy, NH, and was a 1949 graduate of Troy High School.
She married Kenneth A. Rideout on August 13, 1949, in Troy, NH. Following their marriage, Jane moved to Keene where she resided until the time of her passing.
Jane worked in customer service with the former Mason Insurance Company, and later with the Kapiloff Insurance Agency where she worked for many years. Jane and her husband Ken also established their own real estate agency, Rideout Real Estate, working together for several years during the 1970’s.
Jane was along time parishioner of St. Bernard Church and later St. Margaret Mary Church, both in Keene. She was a member of the Keene Emblem Club; the American Legion Gordon Bissell Post #4 Auxiliary; the National Association of Insurance Women; the Elks Club; and the Keene Senior Center.
She enjoyed vegetable and floral gardening and sewing. She was an avid golfer and member of the Bretwood Golf Course participating in the Thursday night ladies league.
Her favorite pastime was the special memories created with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by many, especially her daughters, Kendra J. Hanlon and her husband Brian of Keene, Rebecca Morgan and her husband Daniel of Hampton, NH; her grandchildren, Kelly Neault, Matthew Neault, Eammon Hanlon, Katherine Hanlon, Josef Hanlon, Jack Morgan, Hannah Morgan; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Arlon Rideout, a daughter Gayle Buchannon, and six siblings predeceased her.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. A prayer service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home, followed by a committal service in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene.
