Her parents, Roger and Yvonne (Pelletier) Symonds welcomed their daughter into the world on February 15, 1944, in Keene. She attended St. Joseph Regional School in Keene and was a graduate of Our Lady of Monadnock Academy in Jaffrey, NH. She later attended Franklin Pierce University.
Janet enjoyed her role as a mother and raising her family. In later years, she drove school bus for several years with Laidlaw Transportation. She was a member of the Keene Fire Department Auxiliary, and a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Keene.
Janet enjoyed knitting, macramé, bowling and vegetable gardening. Her greatest joys in her life were her family and her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by many, especially her family, her son, Michael F. Davis of East Swanzey, NH; her daughters, Pamela J. Davis Galford of Winchester, NH, Lisa DeRosier Ouellette of Sullivan, NH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Steffany Davis of Keene; a sister, Carol A. Johnson and her husband Bob, of Spofford, NH; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Janet was predeceased by her first husband, Philip Davis Sr. in 1988; her second husband Emile DeRosier in 1987; a daughter Brenda M. Davis in 2005; and her son, Philip L. Davis, Jr. who died on October 30, 2025.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00am in St. Bernard Parish, 185 Main Street, Keene. Burial with committal prayers will follow the mass in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene.
