Jeanne Emily Cray

Jeanne Emily Cray 78, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH, and was reunited with her husband of 37 years, David G. Cray who predeceased her on March 27, 2016.

She was born in Keene, NH on January 8, 1947, the daughter of Edwin and Gwendolyn (Frazier) Ball. She grew up in Keene along with her sister, now Carol Whilshire and her husband, Eddie, of Newport Richie, FL, and her brother, David Ball and his wife, Sandy, of Gilsum, NH.

As a lifelong resident of Keene, NH, Jeanne worked for many years providing secretarial and bookkeeping skills with the National Grange Mutual Insurance Company and later with ABC Disposal Company in Keene.

Jeanne enjoyed writing, crafting, and bowling. Her favorite pastime was the many special moments shared with her grandkids, especially when she watched them playing sports over the years.

She will be greatly missed by many, especially her sons Lance Cray and his wife Cathy and their son Matt, Joshua Cray and his wife Heather and their family, Nero, Loki, Kairo and Kiahna, and Jason Cray and his wife Amanda along with sons Romello & Jayce.

Jeanne’s faith ran deep as an active member of the Beth-El Bible Church in Surry and Sturtevant Chapel in Keene where she was part of multiple fellowships over the years.

A memorial service will be held on May 01, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Sturtevant Chapel, 15 Washington Avenue, Keene, NH. A time of visitation will take place at the church starting at 1:00pm until the time of the service.

Burial in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Keene, will be held privately by the family.
