Her parents, Nancy (Reader) and John W. Caveney welcomed their daughter into the world on November 9, 1981, in Keene, NH. A lifelong resident of Spofford, Jenny attended St. Joseph Regional School in Keene, Chesterfield School and was a 2000 graduate of Keene High School.
She was an accomplished athlete all of her life, beginning with her participation in Gymnastics at age 5. Gymnastics and the competition was fun and challenging, however she was soon drawn to joining others in “Team” Sports and thus began her participation in Soccer, Basketball and Softball in middle school thru her years as a varsity athlete at Keene High School cherishing the friends she made at every level. She also enjoyed skiing, especially at Mt. Snow with her dad and sister, Erin, and when time allowed, snowmobiling with the entire family.
Jenny continued her education, earning a Bachelor Degree in Business from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. While attending W. CONN, Jenny was a star athlete, playing left field on the women’s softball team and was named all-conference all-star in her sophomore year. She was also named a 2nd Team All American. It was that same year that the Western Connecticut State Softball Team went to Wisconsin, the only team in the college’s history to make the Nationals in that sport.
Jenny and her Softball Teammates were inducted into the Western Connecticut State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.
Jenny held corporate jobs with C&S Wholesale Grocers (NJ/NH/MA), PepsiCo (Headquartered in Chicago IL), US Foods, which brought her to Missouri where she lived for several years. With these jobs, Jenny made numerous friendships and kept in touch with so many of these friends.
Jenny could light up a room when she walked in. Her smile and laugh were contagious. Jenny was the most caring person with a huge heart that you would ever meet. She never judged, forever forgiving, generous to a fault and ever loyal. Jenny asked for nothing in return and always put others before herself. Family was Jenny’s whole world. If you were a friend, you were family. She loved any type of get-togethers with family, from BBQs to seasonal celebrations, to vacations at the lake, and going to spend time at the ocean.
Jenny is survived by her whole world, her parents, John and Nancy of Spofford, a sister, Erin K. Caveney of Spofford; her many uncles, aunts and cousins, her W. Conn family, and many friends whom she loved as family.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:00am in the St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Jenny’s memory to CHaD (Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock), One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03766.
