John "Jack" J. Ellingwood

John Ellingwood, a beloved father, partner, and friend, was born on September 21, 1962, in Lynn, Massachusetts. He spent most of his life in California, where he created countless memories, before passing away peacefully in his dream home in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, on December 20, 2024.

John was passionate about restoring classic cars and embarking on new projects, showcasing his natural talent for creativity and craftsmanship. An avid athlete, he excelled in multiple triathlons and embraced an active lifestyle that included a love for anything outdoors.

Professionally, John made his mark as a talented cameraman in the film and television industry, contributing to several well-known movies and television shows. His career allowed him to travel the world and capture incredible moments on film, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working with him.

John was a proud father to three beautiful children: Jacklyn, Emily, and Brandon. He was also the loving son of Tom (who predeceased him) and Anne (Savage) Ellingwood and the eldest sibling to his brother Brent (Nora) and sister Elizabeth (Cisco Surroca). In his final years, he shared a deep and loving bond with Gina (Cranham), the love of his life, who stood by him with unwavering support and affection.

John was a wonderful man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his creativity, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

A celebration of John’s life will be held in California, surrounded by those who cherished him most. He will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts.
