She was born in Manchester, NH, February 20, 1940, the daughter of Allan W. and Kathryn L. (Engle) McLeod. She grew up in Goffstown, NH, moving to Winchester, NH where she was a graduate of Thayer High School in Winchester.
Prior to raising her family, she was a telephone operator in Brattleboro, Vt.
Mrs. Beauregard especially enjoyed her role as a homemaker and mother. She extended this passion of caring for others as a foster parent, caregiver, and with a group home from within her home in Winchester NH.
She was a talented seamstress and ran a business out of her home making Raggedy Ann & Raggedy Andy and other types of dolls for children to enjoy.
Most remember her as an avid camper. Her favorite camping spots were Lake George, NY, and Cape Porpoise, Maine.
After raising most of her family, she attended Thompson School of Nursing in Brattleboro Vermont where she received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She worked as a LPN at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland and later at Harborside Health Westwood in Keene, NH
She was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Peterborough, NH and later, St. John Episcopal Church in Walpole, NH.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, George W. Beauregard of Marlow whom she married on June 7, 1980, her children; Kathy Huckins and her husband, Skip, of Covington, Georgia, Jay W. Smith of Marlow, Rhoda Jurkowski and her husband, David, of Northfield, MA, Suzanne Smith of Northfield, MA, Jennifer Beauregard of Marlow, eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a brother, Allen McLeod of Magee Valley, North Carolina, two sisters, Barbara Murphy of East Longmeadow, MA, Ellen Maybe of Tacoma, Washington, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also predeceased by an infant son, Matthew.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:30PM in St. John Episcopal Church, Elm Street, Walpole. Later that evening, a Celebration of Her Life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Keene State College Camp on Wilson Pond, North Swanzey, NH. Burial will be private.

The Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
