She was born on February 1, 1948 in Keene, NH, the daughter of John A. and Evelyn R. (Peck) Sloan.
On June 25, 1966 Judy married the love of her life, Albion Roy Ellis. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death in 2017.
Judy was a hard and dedicated worker. She was employed by Whitney Brothers for 37 years prior to her retirement. She will be fondly remembered as a quiet, caring, and loving woman who centered her life around her family. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, and going to yard sales on Saturday mornings. She had a gentle heart and cared deeply for others. Animals, too, had a special place in Judy’s heart. She would help anyone out when she saw someone in need.
Judy will be dearly missed by her son: Albion N. Ellis of Keene; sister: Dorothy Hillock of Keene; two nieces, one nephew, and several cousins and other extended family.
She is predeceased by her husband: Albion R. Ellis; parents: John A. and Evelyn R. Sloan, sister: Sylvia Kemp; and niece: Brenda Lamoureux.
A funeral service for Judy will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH.
