Laureen Ann Blanchard

She was born on September 24, 1946 in Keene, the daughter of Lawrence and Rita (Cloutier) Rathburn. She was a graduate of Marlborough High School and has lived in Harrisville for most of her life.

Laurie worked for a variety of businesses during her life including Granite Bank, Hannah’s Books, Keene National Bank, Vision Financial and also as the Tax Collector for Harrisville for over 15 years.

She also was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Laurie enjoyed reading all kinds of books and also loved all kinds of animals.

She is survived by her son Ryan Golden of MN and daughter Davina Van Valkenburg of Sullivan; her brothers Lee Rathburn of Harrisville, Wayne Rathburn of NY and Tim Rathburn of NH; grandchildren Owen Golden, Kiley Golden, Ben Golden, Jacob Van Valkenburg and Sarah Van Valkenburg; nephews Luke Rathburn and Sam Rathburn; and nieces Larae Rathburn and Angeni Sirois. Laurie’s son Artie Miller and brother, Ernest Rathburn, both died earlier.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
