His parents, Marion E. (Charland) and the late Merton L. Yeaton, Jr., welcomed their son into the world on February 3, 1944 in Keene.
Les attended St. Joseph Regional School in Keene and was a 1962 graduate of Keene High School. He attended Hawthorne College in Antrim, NH.
He proudly served his country as an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War.
Les worked as an electronics technician with Gerken’s of Keene and later with Sears and Roebuck Company.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Nancy, especially to Las Vegas and to Kennebunkport. He was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also known for his great sense of humor. His special loves in his life were his French Bulldog “Dottie” and watching his grandsons various sporting events especially ice hockey. He recently became an avid Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey fan, never missing a game.
He will be missed by many, especially his wife of 54 years, Nancy M. (Murray) Yeaton of Keene; his children, Karen LaBelle and her husband Andrew of Keene, Christopher Yeaton and his wife, Somprattana “Nikki” Parkhurst of Henderson, Nevada, Jason A. Yeaton and his companion Kelly Blake, of Troy, NH; four grandchildren, Matthew LaBelle, Christene Yeaton, Ryan LaBelle, Hunter Yeaton; his mother, Marion E. Yeaton of Keene; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Murray and his wife, Gail, of Milford, ME, Francis Murray and his wife, Rena, of Milford, ME; his nieces and nephews, Staci Provost, Kristi Murray, Jasmyn Murray, Jordyn Camic, Renee Taplin, Adam Murray; and his favorite side-kick, Dottie. He was predeceased by a sister Joyce Ann; maternal grandparents, Frederick and Helen Charland; paternal grandparents, Merton and Nettie Yeaton; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Ralph Murray.
Funeral services for Mr. Yeaton will be private.
