Lyle R. Bartz

Lyle R. Bartz 72, of County Road, Walpole, NH, died June 6, 2011 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH.

He was born in Charles City, Iowa, February 03, 1939, the son of Victor E. and Elva L. (Kruger) Bartz.

Mr. Bartz was an army veteran serving from 1962 until 1965, stationed in Taiwan in the army security agency.

Having a great thirst for knowledge his entire life, Mr. Bartz earned a Bachelors Degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and a Masters Degree in business administration from the University of San Francisco.

He worked for 29 years in quality assurance for Del Monte Company in San Francisco. He moved from Palo Alto, California to Walpole in1998. Mr. Bartz also enjoyed woodworking and vegetable gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol A. (Macomber) Bartz of Walpole, a daughter, Christina M. Bartz Hoage and her husband, Justin, of Sutton, NH, four grandchildren; Michaella Anne Bartz, Cassidy Grace Hoage, Kolby Lyle Hoag, Isabella Jayden Hoage, a brother, Roger E. Bartz of Searcy, Arkansas, a sister, Donna R. Bartz of Tempe, Arizona, two nephews, five nieces and several cousins.

Services and burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Westford, Vermont, will be private.

The Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
