Marjorie G. Williams

She was born on November 19, 1921, in Dublin, NH, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Lang) Sundstrom. She grew up in Dublin and attended school there.

Mrs. Williams was fifteen when her mother died and she spent her teen years caring for her two brothers on her family's farm in Dublin. She also took care of her father and uncle at that time.

On October 19, 1945, she married Roy W. Williams in Keene.

Mrs. Williams worked for many years at Cheshire Mills in Harrisville.

She was very active in the then Chesham Baptist Church (now The Community Church of Harrisville and Chesham) for many years. She served as a Sunday School teacher, treasurer, deaconess and took on many other responsibilities.

Mrs. Williams enjoyed knitting, bird watching and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son Roger Williams, and wife Sandy, of Harrisville; her daughter Sandra Smith, and husband Kevin, also of Harrisville; her grandchildren Jason, Matthew and Danielle; several great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Williams will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, 2:00 PM, at the Chesham Church, 219 Chesham Road, Chesham, NH. Burial will follow at the Willard Hill Cemetery on Roxbury Road in Harrisville. Fletcher Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
